Getting started

This is the generic help page that mediawiki provides. Here we collect basic wiki 'how to's' for how to actually write in this wiki. However there is also the category help page which collects all pages in PIM that contain the help category tag.

Creating a New Page

The easiest way to create a new page is to write a wiki link on an existing page. A wiki link is a wiki name written in camel case surrounded by paired square braketsso just use our wiki pattern advice where to create a node called first year you would write:

[[FirstYear| first year]]

This creates a new page in the wiki called FirstYear, and also makes a link from the text after the pipe ('|'). To edit this new page just click the link you've just created.

Basic Formatting

The main mediawiki site has an extensive list of basic editing markup - see wiki formatting.
