Chapter 2- Space

From Siki

“Real-world space is a preexisting container in which the things of the world exist. Web space is created by the things in it.” P.44

“ Traditional space as a container, as a grand “outside” of everything that exists, it essentially passive. But the web in effect actively holds itself together.” P.51

People have no control over things in the real world; the thing cannot be allocated freely among the real-world geographical boundary. We cannot gather similar items together by our own will because we passively exist in the real world. However, in Web space, we have power to manipulate the items our preferences. We are able to put similar items together. Hence, we are actively involved in the Web space.
